Private James Murphy MM

Private James Murphy was the son of Hugh and Ellen Murphy, of Belfast, Northern Ireland, and husband of Annie Murphy, also of Belfast.

He served with 3rd Parachute Battalion and took part in the North African campaign, and was awarded the Military Medal for action during this deployment. He died on 11 March 1943, aged 30 years old. He is now buried at Medjez-El-Bab War Cemetery, Tunisia.
