Private Frederick A Jennison

16 Jun 1926 - 02 Apr 1945

Frederick Arthur Jennison was the son of Maurice and Alice (Potter) Jennison, of Bedford, he enlisted in The General Service Corps, and volunteered for airborne forces.

Private Jennison successfully completed glider training and was posted to 2nd (Airborne) Battalion, Ox and Bucks Light Infantry, and took part in operation Varsity (Rhine Crossing).

Pte Jennison was killed in action on 2 April 1945, age 18, and was given a field burial at Lengerich, Germany, and was re-interred to Reichswald Forest War Cemetery, Germany on 17 May 1947.
