Glider pilots, including Capt Bill Barrie DFC, homeward bound and happy after the successful glider landings made by 6 Airborne Division around Ranville in Normandy. The photograph was taken as GPR pilots are moved back to England to be prepared to fly in follow on landings by 1 Airborne Division in Northern France if required.
