Springer Dune Buggy

The Springer Dune Buggy was one of a fleet of new all-terrain vehicles to move vital equipment to troops on the frontline in Afghanistan.

Springer had a crew of two and the ability to carry a combat load of one tonne. Its role was specifically focused on moving combat supplies from helicopter landing sites into the forward operating bases.

The Springer was withdrawn from service in 2012.
