The shop was opened in Browning Barracks, Aldershot, to serve museum visitors and the wider garrison and veterans with Airborne related memorabilia, clothing and books. In January 2012, however, Browning Barracks was closed for demolition.
The Airborne Shop was relocated to Nottingham with the stock also being transferred.

From February 2012 there will also be a show area at the Nottingham premises with over the counter sales available. The aim of the shop is to raise the profile of The Parachute Regiment Charities and The Airborne Shop by, amongst other things, attending events through the year and offering genuine Parachute Regiment and Airborne Forces branded goods, which ultimately benefits The Parachute Regiment’s Charities.
