Reserve Battalion / Training and Holding Battalion (Talavera Barracks)

The Reserve Battalion was established at the turn of 1944-45. Previously based at Beverley, Yorkshire, and then Piddlehinton, Dorset, it had relocated to Talavera Barracks, Aldershot by the start of 1947.

Later that year it was renamed as The Parachute Regiment Training and Holding Battalion.
