Unit 7th Parachute Light Regiment RA

7th Parachute Light Regiment RA  was formed following the redesignation of 33rd Parachute Light Regiment Royal Artillery (also known as 33rd Parachute Field Regiment RA) in June 1961. F, G and I Parachute Light Batteries were  formed from personnel of 41, 96 and 97 Batteries of  the 33rd.

Its primary armament was the 105mm Pack Howitzer.

Garrisoned at Lille Barracks Aldershot, it supported deployments to the Persian Gulf and Aden.

7th Parachute Light Regiment RA was renamed as 7th Parachute Regiment Royal Horse Artillery (7 PARA RHA) in 1966.
