Private Willliam Findlay

27 Sep 1944

Private William Findlay was the son of George and Isabella Findlay, and husband of Janet Findlay. He served with 181 Airlanding Field Ambulance, Royal Army Medical Corps and took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.

Private Findlay died of wounds from the Battle on 27 September 1944, aged 29 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
