Sergeant Thomas Murphy

Sergeant Thomas Murphy, was the son of William and Mary Ellen Murphy, and husband of Violet May Murphy, of Tidworth, Hampshire. He served with 4 Flight, B Squadron, Glider Pilot Regiment. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.

Sergeant Murphy died on 19 September 1944, aged 29 years old. He is now commemorated on the Memorial at Groesbeek Canadian War Cemetery, near Nijmegen.
