Roll Call Corporal Sidney R Newton – March 25th 1943

Corporal Sidney Robert Newton, son of Sidney Richard and Bessie Newton, of Roehampton, London, served with 1st Parachute Battalion. He took part in the North African campaign, during Op Torch.

Corporal Newton died on 25 March 1943, aged 26 years old. He is now buried at Bone War Cemetery, Annaba, Algeria.
