Roll Call Private Robert S Lancaster – August 21st 1944

Private Robert Stephen Lancaster, son of Robert Kitching and Oliva Lancaster, of Scarthoe, Grimsby, Lincolnshire, served with 8th (Midlands) Parachute Battalion. He took part in the Normandy campaign, during Op Overlord.

Private Lancaster died on 21 August 1944, aged 20 years old. He is now buried at Ranville War Cemetery, Normandy.
