Lieutenant Robert Irvine was the son of Robert and Lily Mary Irvine, and husband of Janet Vida Mary Irvine. He served with 1st Wing, Glider Pilot Regiment and took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.
Lieutenant Irvine died on 22 September 1944, aged 29 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
