Peter Morrison enlisted into 15 PARA (SV) early in 1975 and passed P Company that summer. After completing his military parachute training in October 1975, Private Morrison was posted to Signals Platoon (Pln), Support Company (Coy).

After promotion to Lance Corporal (Cpl), he passed the Regimental Signals Instructor Course in April 1979 and did a short term engagement with 3 PARA in Germany before returning to 15 PARA (SV), this time going to A Coy.

In 1982 he undertook junior Brecon and was promoted to Cpl and then Sergeant (Sgt) two years later.

After working in recruiting, he was promoted to Colour Sergeant and went to Recce Pln in 1989.

He later served as Company Sgt Major (CSM) of Support Coy and then A Coy until 15 PARA (SV) was amalgamated with 4 PARA (V) in April 1993.

He was the first CSM of 15 Coy, 4 PARA.

CSM Morrison served with The Parachute Regiment for 24 years prior to retirement from the Territorial Army.
