Lance Corporal Joseph O'Neill served with 11th Parachute Battalion and took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.
Lance Corporal O'Neill died on 23 September 1944, aged 24 years old. He is now commemorated on the Memorial at Groesbeek Canadian War Cemetery, near Nijmegen.
