Roll Call Sergeant John R Baker – September 21st 1944

Sergeant John Robert Baker, son of James Henry and Barbara Ann Baker, of Stockon-on-Tees, Co Durham, served with 11th Parachute Battalion. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.

Sergeant Baker died on 21 September 1944, aged 32 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
