Lieutenant John Arthur Wellbelove

Lieutenant John Arthur Wellbelove, son of John and Mary Eva Wellbelove, of Eston, Saskatchewan, Canada, served with the Royal Canadian Infantry Corps and was attached to B Coy, 1st (Airborne) Battalion, Border Regiment. He took part in the glider insertion to the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.

Lieutenant Wellbelove died on 21 September 1944, aged 24 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
