Private Joffre Barber
– August 12th 1993
Joffre Barber was enlisted into The North Staffordshire Regiment and later volunteered for airborne forces.
He served with A Company, 156 Parachute Battalion, during the Italy campaign and the Battle of Arnhem, where he was taken as a PoW and held in captivity until the end of the war.
