Corporal Jeffries Lacey was the son of Samuel and Florence Lacey, of Edwinstone, Nottinghamshire, and husband of H E Lacey. He served with 1st Parachute Battalion and took part in the North African campaign, during Op Torch.
Corporal Lacey died on 8 March 1943, aged 27 years old. He is now buried at Tabarka Ras Rajel War Cemetery, Tunisia.
