Roll Call Private James R O'Brien – August 23rd 1944

Private James Roy O'Brien, son of George James and Ellen O'Brien, of Welling, Kent, served with 7th (Light Infantry) Parachute Battalion. He took part in the Normandy campaign, during Op Overlord.

Private O'Brien died on 23 August 1944, aged 20 years old. He is now buried at Ranville War Cemetery, Normandy.
