Roll Call Private James Laing – July 15th 1944

Private James Laing, son of James and Jane Hodge Arbuckle Laing, of Grangemouth, Stirlingshire, served with 9th (Essex) Parachute Battalion. He took part in the Normandy campaign, during Op Overlord.

Private Laing died on 15 July 1944, aged 23 years old. He is now buried at Banneville-la-Campagne War Cemetery, Normandy.
