Roll Call Private James Buchanan – July 14th 1943

Private James Buchanan was the son of Andrew and Agnes Buchanan, and the husband of Christine Buchanan, of Coanwood, Northumberland. He served with 1st Parachute Battalion and took part in the invasion of Sicily, during Op Husky.

Private Buchanan died on 14 July 1943, aged 21 years old. He is now buried at Catania War Cemetery, Sicily.
