Lieutenant Gordon Charles Peter Impey, son of Charles H and L Impey, of Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire, served with 1st Wing, Glider Pilot Regiment. He took part in the invasion of Sicily, during Op Husky.
Lieutenant Impey died during the invasion on 10 July 1943, aged 23 years old. He is now buried at Syracuse War Cemetery, Sicily.
