Roll Call Private George D Adsett – June 6th 1944

Private George David Adsett, son of Charles and Ellen Kate Adsett, of Storrington, Sussex, served with 9th (Essex) Parachute Battalion. He took part in the D-Day landings to Normandy on 5-6 June, during Op Overlord.

Private Adsett died on 6 June 1944, aged 21 years old. He is now commemorated on the Memorial at Bayeux War Cemetery, Normandy.
