Roll Call Lance Sergeant George A Bowers – September 19th 1944

Lance Sergeant George Arthur Bowers, son of Richard William and Cecilia Bowers, served as a Section Commander with the Mortar Platoon, Support Company, 11th Parachute Battalion. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.

Lance Sergeant Bowers died on 19 September 1944, aged 31 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
