Private Geoffrey George Farmer was raised at Bassett, Southampton and was the older brother of Pte Roy Farmer of 13th (Lancs) Parachute Battalion who was posted missing on D-Day.
Geoffrey Farmer served with 133 Parachute Field Ambulance (RAMC), L Section of 4th Parachute Brigade, 1st Airborne Division. He was at Arnhem (Op Market Garden) and was wounded in action, subsequently taken prisoner and held as a POW at Camp 11B, 97178.

My grandad, Geoffrey George Farmer, married Julia Van Haeften, and had three children, Paul, Grace and Frances. He sadly passed away nearly four years ago and is greatly missed.
