Gunner Edward V A Young

02 Jan 1925 - 26 Aug 1946

Edward Vincent Ashington Young was the son of Edward Lionel and Rose Mary Young, of Ledstone, Devon.

He successfully completed his parachute training on the 15 December 1945. It was noted that he was "very quiet but keen"

Gunner Young was posted to the 53 (The Worcestershire Yeomanry) Airlanding Light Regiment, Royal Artillery where he served in Palestine.

He was killed on 26 August 1946 and is now buried in Ramleh War Cemetery, Israel.
