Sergeant Edgar G Gurney

Edgar Gurney was enlisted into The King's Shropshire Light Infantry and volunteered for airborne forces during World War II.

He qualified as a military parachutist on Course 88 which ran at RAF Ringway from 18 to 30 October 1943 and subsequently served with 7th (Light Infantry) Parachute Battalion, which took part in the campaigns in North West Europe during 1944-45.
