Sergeant Donald O Norman

Donald Norman enlisted into the Somerset Light Infantry and attended Parachute Course 51, while serving as a Lance Corporal which ran at RAF Ringway from 15 to 27 February 1943.

He served with 7th (Light Infantry) Parachute Battalion which had been formerly the 10th Bn, SLI, until turned over to airborne duties in November 1942.

Donald went onto to become the Platoon Sgt of No 5 Platoon in B Company and fought with the battalion during its campaigns in North West Europe in 1944-45.
