David Waterman served in The 3rd Battalion The Parachute Regiment (3 PARA) from 1954 to 1957, after Passing Out with 21 Platoon at Airborne Forces Depot in Aldershot.
He served in Cyprus during the EOKA campaign, before taking part in Operation Musketeer to Suez - the last time the British Army undertook a full Battalion airborne assault.
