David Robertson Sutherland MacKay enlisted into the Seaforth Highlanders before volunteering for airborne forces.
Private MacKay attended parachute training course number 118 at RAF Ringway between 29 May and 15 June 1944. He was posted to The 5th (Scottish) Parachute Battalion.
