Roll Call Lance Corporal David O Astley – September 10th 1943

Lance David Oswald Astley was the son of Joseph Garfield Astley and Mary Astley, of Llanfair Caereinion, Montgomeryshire. He served with 6th (Royal Welch) Parachute Battalion. He took part in the invasion of Italy in September 1943.

Lance Corporal Astley died on 10 September 1943, aged 27 years old. He is now commemorated on the Memorial at Cassino War Cemetery, Italy.
