Roll Call Sergeant Bernard W Bartholomew – September 19th 1944

Sergeant Bernard William Bartholomew was the son of Bernard and Doris Elizebeth Bartholomew, and the husband of Edna Bartholomew, of Brinsworth, Rotherham, Yorkshire. By September 1944, he was serving as Acting Company Sergeant Major for HQ Coy, 11th Parachute Battalion.

Sergeant Bartholomew died on 19 September 1944, aged 28 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
