Currently Colonel Commandant RAMC. Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Gardening Leave, a mental health charity for ex-service personnel. Chairman of the RAMC Charity Board of Trustees.
A Queen's Honorary Physician 2000-04 and a Deputy Lieutenant of Renfrewshire since 2009.
