Trooper Alfred Herbert Odd, son of John Alfred and Grace Odd, of Glasgow, served in the Polsten gun crew of SP Troop, 1st Airborne Recce Squadron, Reconnaissance Corps. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.
Trooper Odd died on 24 September 1944, aged 19 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
