Roll Call Private Albert E Baker – September 18th 1944

Private Albert Edward Baker, son of Albert and Christine Baker, of Bristol, served with 1st Parachute Battalion. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.

Private Baker died on 18 September 1944, aged 23 years old. He is now commemorated on the Memorial at Groesbeek Canadian War Cemetery, near Nijmegen.
